Answer ONE of the following topics as a short market profile report of a standard that would be prepared for an international or national tourism agency: 1) Aviation is a major problem with respect to growth in tourism-related emissions and presents a potentially significant issue for the positioning of New Zealand tourism. Write a briefing paper with respect to international and New Zealand related growth in aviation. Use statistical information to illustrate where appropriate. 2) Cruise ships have been recognised as posing significant environmental issues in terms of pollution, biosecurity and emissions. Write a briefing paper with respect to international and New Zealand related growth in cruising. Use statistical information to illustrate where appropriate. 3) How seasonal is tourism in New Zealand? Write a briefing paper that outlines the seasonal nature of different international and domestic markets in New Zealand. Explain the nature of these patterns and their implications. You must use statistical information to illustrate and support your arguments where appropriate. Please remember that in a briefing paper it is also important to point out where data and/or forecasts are not readily available. In addition to following the guidelines below, especially with respect to referencing, also ensure that the structure is clear and logical.
